Hartwick Fire Department Company #2 was established in 1950 in
Hartwick Seminary, a small hamlet about 3 miles south of the
Infamous home of baseball, Cooperstown, NY.
Our original equipment can be seen on our equipment page, and let me tell you, times sure have changed. 20 years ago, we had maybe one or two businesses in our district. Now we offer fire protection for the largest youth tournament baseball park (Cooperstown Dreamspark) in the country and to several businesses in our area along with the residence coverage that continues to grow annually.
